An annual donation of $20 per family would be appreciated, to cover operating costs such as liability insurance for when we participate in animal community events, to pay for our website, brochures and other activities.
Greyhounds can become competitive when running and/or in a pack environment. Therefore, they must be muzzled at play group. Greyhounds must always be on lead when in an unfenced area, and must not be tied outside. It is also NOT recommended that they participate in off leash dog parks as they can be targeted, they have thin coats and skin, and as they are not used to other breeds. In my experience, serious accidents and death has occurred. As well, a greyhound should NOT be muzzled when other dogs are not, as once again, this sets them up as a target.
